WHAT TYPE OF WIG DO YOU PREFER?

Wigs are becoming one of the latest trends in the hair industry.  There are many types of units to choose from depending on your needs and lifestyle.  I love wearing a wig cause you can switch up styles, try out new hair color without harming your natural hair.  With any protective style, you will have to care for your hair underneath the wigs to keep it healthy.  You can purchase wigs from the hair store, have one custom made whatever option you choose with so many different wigs out there to choose from.
 
Here a little info on some of the different units to choose from:
 
U-part wig- is “U” shaped cut out at the top so small amount of natural hair can be used to cover the wefted tracks.  This type of wig will give you more of a natural feel to it.  You still have to be careful with the hair that’s left out & not to use excessive heat that can cause heat damage.

Full wig- is made with a top circle closure.  This type of wig is good if you were going for a style with bangs or short pixie haircut unit.   No hair will be left out with wig so that all hair can be protected underneath the unit.

Lace closure wig- this unit is made with a lace closure.  This unit is created if you don’t want any hair left out.  Closures are usually 4x4 and are installed in a horseshoe-shaped area on top of the head to close off the style.   

Lace Frontal wig- is made with a frontal closure that goes from ear to ear and covers the front of the head.  A frontal is usually 13x4 and can be parted many ways in the front of the wig.  This unit will have to be applied with an adhesive, tape, got 2 be glued, comb or elastic band for extra security.  Take into consideration that if you sweat a lot that adhesive, tape and got to be glued will not last long.  This unit is a high maintenance unit.  Over time the lace may lose hair and become thin.

360 wig- 360 wigs are made of a 360 closure that goes all the way around the hairline of the head.  This unit can be pulled up into a high ponytail and can be part the front in many ways.  This unit will have to be applied with an adhesive, tape, got 2 be glued, comb or elastic band for extra security.  Take into consideration that if you sweat a lot that adhesive, tape and got to be glued will not last long.  This unit is a high maintenance unit.  Over time the lace may lose hair and become thin.

Full Lace wig- is a wig were the lace is sewn into the wig cap, and then individual hair strands are ventilated into the lace all over the wig.  This wig can be parted anywhere and is very versatile compared to all the wig choices.  This unit will have to be applied with an adhesive, tape, got 2 be glued, comb or elastic band for extra security.  Take into consideration that if you sweat a lot that adhesive, tape and got to be glued will not last long.  This unit is a high maintenance unit.  Over time the lace may lose hair and become thin.

​Hairpieces- is a top unit that can be used to add volume, fullness, and length to top of client’s hair.  These hairpieces are ideal for a client with hair loss in the crown area of the head.  These units can be a clip in or applied with special adhesive, you will have to go to a professional to have these units applied.
