LENGTH CHECK ON NATURAL HAIR

Throughout my natural hair journey, I like to do length checks every year to be able to see my growth.  Sometimes we feel like our hair isn’t growing or growing fast enough to our liking.  Tracking your progress will help you to see the growth of your hair.  I've had some setbacks in my journey from chopping off my whole braids during my crochet braid takedown.  Got a trim that turned into a cut, loss 3 inches with what was only suppose to be a trim.  I say this to say that its only hair it'll grow back don’t get depressed because of you lose a couple of inches of hair.  I rather have healthy hair over length; thin see through ends isn’t healthy hair and needs to be cut off.  But that’s a whole other subject that I won't get into, this blog post is about my length check journey.  Below I will post a video on how I blow dry and flat iron my hair for my trim.  I will also post a couple of my length checks picture throughout my 6 years of being natural.

Length Check April 2015, July 2015 & December 2015.  End of 2015 I was at line 6 reached Bra strap length.  This year is when I stop using heat on my hair.

Length Check December 2016 I reached line 7 but my ends are very thin and see through.  I had breakage from my hair rubbing against my fleece jacket.  So when I got a trim I trimmed up to line 4 because it was see-through up into that line.
